Itinerary
Day 1: Fly from Dar es Salaam to Mpanda and Transfer to Katavi
Fly from Dar es Salaam to Mpanda, where your Native Expeditions guide will meet you for the road transfer to Katavi National Park.
After checking in and having lunch, set out on a late-afternoon game drive. Depending on the season and wildlife movements, look out for buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, predators and abundant birdlife.
Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Viewing in Katavi
After breakfast, begin a morning game drive through Katavi’s woodlands, floodplains and waterways. The park’s seasonal lakes and rivers support large numbers of hippos and crocodiles, while its plains attract buffaloes, elephants and other herbivores.
Return to the lodge for lunch or enjoy a packed lunch, depending on the day’s game-viewing plan. Continue with an afternoon game drive, allowing time to explore a different section of the park and follow current wildlife activity.

Overnight: Katavi National Park
Day 3: Transfer to Mpanda and Fly to Dar es Salaam
Enjoy breakfast before checking out. If the flight schedule allows, take a short game drive while leaving the park.
Continue to Mpanda Airport for your return flight to Dar es Salaam, where the safari ends. Flight schedules are subject to the operating airline and may affect the exact programme.
