Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to the Maasai Mara

A Native Expeditions representative will collect you early from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Travel through the Great Rift Valley towards the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive around lunchtime, check in and relax before taking an afternoon game drive.

Search for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes and the reserve’s famous predators.

Overnight: Maasai Mara

Day 2: Full-Day Maasai Mara Safari

Spend the day exploring the reserve on morning and afternoon game drives.

Look out for lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas and numerous antelope species.

During the migration season, large herds may cross into the Maasai Mara from Tanzania’s Serengeti. River crossings depend on rainfall, herd movements and other natural conditions and cannot be predicted precisely.

An optional sunrise hot-air balloon safari or Maasai community visit can be arranged at an additional cost.

Overnight: Maasai Mara

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Return to Nairobi

Begin the final day with an early game drive before returning to your lodge for breakfast and check-out.

Travel back to Nairobi and arrive in the late afternoon or evening, depending on traffic and road conditions.

Your guide will drop you at your hotel, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or another agreed location.
