Itinerary

Day 1: Fly from Entebbe to Kidepo Valley

A Native Expeditions representative will meet you at Entebbe International Airport or your hotel and assist with your flight to Kidepo Valley National Park.

Your guide will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you to your lodge. Depending on the flight schedule, enjoy an afternoon or evening game drive through the park.

Overnight: Kidepo Valley National Park

Day 2: Game Drives and Karamojong Cultural Experience

Begin the day with a game drive through Narus Valley, the park’s main wildlife-viewing area.

Look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, jackals and, with some luck, cheetahs or leopards. Kidepo is also an excellent birding destination, with ostriches and several dry-country species.

After lunch and relaxation at the lodge, visit a nearby Karamojong community to learn about traditional homesteads, pastoral life, music and dance.

Complete the day with an evening game drive.

Overnight: Kidepo Valley National Park

Day 3: Morning Safari and Return to Entebbe

Enjoy an early breakfast and, depending on your flight time, take a final game drive before transferring to the airstrip.

Fly back to Entebbe, where you will connect with your international flight or transfer to another agreed location.

Travelling to Kidepo by Road

A road transfer can be arranged, but Kidepo is approximately 10–12 hours from Kampala, depending on the route and road conditions.

For travellers who prefer to drive, we recommend extending the safari to at least four days. This allows more time in the park and avoids spending most of the three-day itinerary on the road.
